A large non-profit updated their strategic vision and needed to drive fresh objectives into each of their operating departments.Complicating the situation, the teams had never defined shared goals before.
Solution
The change management experts at BUILT developed custom education on how to build goals. Once delivered, they worked with each business unit leader one on one to develop their KPIs. As the facilitator, the BUILT team ensured accuracy and consistency of the goals.
Results
Immediately, the language used at executive staff meetings became outcome-oriented and aligned with fresh strategic initiatives. With ample time, the objectives were socialized and included in individuals’ plans for the year. 18months later, the KPIs have stayed in place and the engagement survey showed significant improvement in alignment.
