Automating Cloud-Based Testing

Challenge
The company needed a way to test a new cloud-based streaming infrastructure; however, they didn’t have a technical solution. They were faced with unfavorable timelines because the amount of manual effort required to test was extensive.

Solution

BUILT implemented a testing framework that made it possible for the company to automate much of the testing pipeline. The framework made it possible to:​

• Implement a temporary infrastructure in a KVM based virtualization​
• Configure VMs in the test scenario​
• Run tests and test sites on the infrastructure​
• Capture the output for machines in the infrastructure in a central reporting location

The company gained a well-structured application written in python, which enables them to automate their test cases and sites.
